YouTube isn't hiding your videos. Your viewers are.

Quick conspiracy check (tinfoil hats on, ladies!)

You think the algorithm is suppressing you. Shadow-banning you. Quietly punishing you for that one video you deleted in 2023, or maybe you're so good they blacklisted you to keep things fair for everyone else…

Well….. no. Here’s what is actually happening.
YouTube makes money exactly one way: watch time. Every impression it hands out is a bet with real ad revenue riding on it, which means you've got a billion-dollar company working around the clock, for free, trying to find people who'll watch your stuff. THEY WANT THAT MONEY BOIIII.

It tests every single upload against real viewers… for FREE!!!!

When it stops pushing a video, that's not suppression. That's thousands of strangers telling YouTube "nope, not this one," click by click, drop-off by drop-off. (Wonder why I harp on about the first 15 seconds?!) Then it compounds and you feel like a homeless person under a bridge eating beans out a can on a hot Tuesday in Vegas. (I’ve had a lot of coffee today).

The algorithm listened but you didn't.

Swap the word "algorithm" for "audience" in your head, see YouTube as a business instead of a bouncer, and this beast suddenly makes perfect sense.

So the question was never "why won't YouTube show my videos to people."

It's "why do people keep telling YouTube not to."

Fix the packaging. Fix the first 15 seconds. Solve a real problem, then hand the most motivated business partner you'll ever have something it can actually sell.

YouTube wants you to win.

Be unapologetic.

Bo

PS. Remember that billion-dollar business partner desperate to sell your videos? In September I'm opening the Engine Room with another world class YouTube strategist.
A private mastermind teaching the frameworks we've used to generate billions of views and millions of subs on real client channels. First doors open to a small intimate circle. Waitlist's at www.engineroommembers.com
